Come bounce for 60 minutes followed by a slice of pizza and beverages for just a $10 donation per child. 100% of all donations collected will benefit Make-A-Wish! Home Depot Kids Workshops offer useful projects like building toolboxes, fire trucks and mail organizers, as well as more educational projects, such as a window birdhouses, bughouses or a Declaration of Independence frame kit.  They teach children do-it-yourself skills, tool safety and at the same time, help to instill a sense of accomplishment.  In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates’ aprons, and an achievement pin.  This month: Build a Lawn Mower Pencil Holder.

Take A Colorful Nature Walk

Make your next walk a hunt for specific colors (try this any time of the year). This is an easy project that can be made very simple as your time/ materials/ patience demands.

You’ll need:
  • An empty egg carton
  • Paints and paintbrushes
Paint the inside of an egg carton different colors. Encourage the children to mix colors together or add black or white to create different hues.

Isn't Every Day Earth Day??

  1. Phantom Electric: This is not from an episode of Scooby Doo. It's the electric still being used when all your appliances are plugged in but not actually turned on. I unplug all my appliances when I'm not using them.
  2. Kitchen Towels: I use so much less paper towels now that I bought kitchen towels. It's amazing how much money I've saved and how fewer rolls I buy.
